Gary Oldman Talks Reuniting With 'JFK' Co-Star Kevin Costner in 'Criminal'
The new CIA thriller Criminal features explosive action, an original storyline, and a great cast. Leading man Kevin Costner is joined by the likes of Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds, Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Oldman, and Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot.
But one of the reasons Oldman was most excited to get involved with the project was that it brought him back together with two of his co-stars from Oliver Stone’s JFK.
“It meant that I could reunite with Kevin and Tommy Lee,” Oldman said of Costner and Jones. Costner played New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison in the 1991 biopic, while Oldman portrayed Lee Harvey Oswald and Jones was Clay Shaw.
In his interview with Yahoo Movies, Oldman expanded on what he likes so much about working with Costner, who plays a death-row inmate implanted with the memories of a CIA agent in Criminal.
“The great thing about Kevin is that once he’s in, he’s in,” Oldman said. “He’s got ideas, he’s got energy, and he contaminates you with that.”
