General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison Marks Milestone Moment With Something Permanent
As General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison says a tough goodbye, he revealed how he marked a major milestone in a way he can never erase.
Memories Made
Along with a series of photos, starting with a day at the beach with his kids, Leila and Lucas, Mathison shared some heartfelt words about the next step in his family’s lives.
“My last few days with my kids before they’re off to Europe for college (Paris and London), and we hit some our [sic] favorite places. So many beautiful memories watching these two grow up into the incredible humans they are. I could not be more grateful.”
Only a few months ago, Mathison commemorated his daughter’s prom with an Instagram post. Now, to remember their final days before college, the trio captured moments watching the ocean waves, lounging on the sand, and going out to dinner at a hibachi restaurant.
Say Cheese… Or Om?
The GH star finished the post with a surprising reveal. “And that last photo,” he wrote, along with what’s known as the Om emoji, making fans quickly scroll to the final photo of the post. Pictured were Mathison and his kids, all with matching tattoos of the Om symbol.
The symbol represents the sound of “Om,” which is typically used in spirituality, yoga, and certain religions.
Mathison proudly showed off his small but special new ink on his bicep, while his daughter revealed her finer-lined version near her hip, and his son showed a larger and bolder version of his dad’s tattoo on his chest.
While Mathison gears up to see his kids off to college, the actor will be anything but bored with an empty nest. Not only is his GH character, Drew, in the middle of running for Congress while navigating relationships with both Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), but he can also be found hosting Beat the Bridge on Game Show Network and starring in a brand new Christmas film alongside Candace Cameron Bure on Great American Family this holiday season.
