General Hospital Comings and Goings: AMC’s Alexa Havins Is Lulu
Since previous Lulu Spencer Falconeri actress Emme Rylan revealed that General Hospital didn’t ask her to reprise the character, viewers have speculated on who might be the new Lulu recast. Now, the wait is over. All My Children alum Alexa Havins is taking on the role.
A Whole New Lulu
TV Line reported that GH cast Havins as Lulu. Soap viewers will remember the actress as Babe Carey on AMC. She was in that role from 2003 to 2007. During her tenure at the now-defunct ABC soap opera, she played opposite Jacob Young’s JR Chandler. GH fans remember Young portrayed Lulu’s brother, Lucky, from 2000 to 2003. Currently, Jonathan Jackson is in the role of Lucky.
MORE: Find out the real reason Jackson returned to GH.
Havins is one of several adult actors to portray Lulu — the daughter of Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis). In addition to Rylan, Julie Marie Berman starred as Lulu from 2005 to 2013. Before here were Stephanie Allen from 2001 to 03 and Tessa Allen from 2004 to 05.
Currently, Laura is on a desperate mission for somebody to help save Lulu’s life. She’s been in a coma for several years, and so far, Nikolas (Adam Huss) wasn’t a match for the ailing woman.
Fans may also recognize Havins from her roles on Castle, CSI: Miami, and Grey’s Anatomy. In 2005, Havins married AMC’s Justin Bruening (Jamie). Together, the two have three children. Here’s what they’ve been up to recently.
