General Hospital’s Emme Rylan Reacts to Lulu Recast Bombshell

Yep. That’s gotta sting. When General Hospital blew up the Floating Rib four years ago, Emme Rylan was told that if and when Lulu emerged from the coma in which the explosion left her, she would get the call to reprise the role that she inherited from Julie Marie Berman in 2013. But when a casting notice went out for a character named Lauren who sounded an awful lot like Luke and Laura’s daughter, it would appear that Rylan got some clarity on her future in Port Charles — or, it turns out, her lack of one.

“Yes, it is true,” she tweeted. “General Hospital has decided to recast Lulu. Although I am very disappointed, I am glad to finally have closure.”

Despite the letdown, Rylan was able to look on the bright side. “Thank goodness General Hospital brought all of you fabulous people into my life,” she told her followers. “Love you guys!”
