“Loved seeing so many of my YS family,” Raegan Revord — aka Missy Cooper — captioned her Instagram post, which features a carousel of photos with series stars Montana Jordan (Georgie), Emily Osment (Mandy), Rachel Bay Jones (Audrey) and Will Sasso (Jim).
Among guest stars: Annie Potts (Meemaw) and Zoe Perry (Mary) will return for Episode 1, while Revord will appear in Episode 2. Iain Armitage (Sheldon) and Melissa Peterman (Brenda), who also attended tape night, are not slated to appear.
Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage follows the titular couple “as they raise their young family in Texas while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage,” according to the official logline. The title is a play on previously established Big Bang Theory lore: In the hit sitcom’s 2019 series finale, Nobel Prize winner Sheldon said he received congratulatory texts from Georgie’s ex-wife… and Georgie’s other ex-wife.
During a recent interview with TVLine, Osment expressed hope that the spinoff would find a way to undo (or at the very least tinker with) Georgie’s marital history.
“I’m hoping that I’m the ex-wife and the new wife,” she said. “People get divorced and remarried. Why can’t she be both?”
In addition to Jordan, Osment, Jones and Sasso, series regulars include Dougie Baldwin (Disjointed) as Mandy’s brother Connor, and Jessie Prez (Griselda) as tire store employee Ruben.
