Move over, It’s Getting Hot in Here: The Ghosts crew has a new favorite competition show.

Starting this Wednesday, CBS is launching a promo campaign in which the Ghosts spirits tune into Survivor. A fresh spot will air every week during Survivor’s ad breaks through the end of Season 47 (in December). This week only will feature two promos — one on social media and one on air during tonight’s installment of Survivor — and TVLine has your exclusive first look at the unique “crossover.”

In the above social video, scout troop leader Pete and Viking Thorfinn partake in one of the ghosts’ favorite hobbies, TV time, when 19th century robber baron Hetty joins them and dismisses Survivor as “another one of your reality TV trifles.” But she is, oh, so wrong.

“You know, Hetty, I really think this show could be up your alley,” Pete replies. “The drama, the deception…”

But Pete needn’t continue because Hetty is on board: “The dimples,” she remarks while swooning at host Jeff Probst.

Meanwhile, in the second promo below (airing during tonight’s Survivor), the spirits offer up commentary on this evening’s episode, which features a merge feast, prompting Thor to recall when he survived on nothing but seal. Future spots will also feature other Ghosts characters chatting about that week’s Survivor.

The idea for the crossover promos — which are written by Ghosts showrunners Joe Port and Joe Wiseman and filmed on the hit comedy’s set — was sparked at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer when Ghosts star/Survivor fan Rebecca Wisocky (aka Hetty) and CBS Marketing staffers were discussing the competition series.
