When it comes to snagging must-have toys, knowing is half the battle. So consider this part of your action plan: Yahoo Entertainment is unveiling your first look at a new line of G.I. Joe toys inspired by the upcoming film Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins.

Due in theaters on Oct. 22, the movie reboots the big-screen Joe franchise that started with 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and has lain dormant since 2013's G.I. Joe: Retaliation. As the title implies, Snake Eyes focuses on one of the most popular Joes around: the sword-wielding ninja warrior, played by Crazy Rich Asians breakout star, Henry Golding. And Snake Eyes is obviously the star of Hasbro's toy line as well, with multiple action figures — like the 6-inch figure ($9.99) above — set to arrive on most major retailer shelves on Aug. 1 in advance of the movie.

If you want to double your fun, you can upgrade to the 12-inch Ninja Strike Snake Eyes ($19.99), which is directly modeled on Golding's appearance in the movie, and features a sword-slashing motion you can activate with the push of a button.

Take Snake Eyes for a spin with his Stealth Cycle ($9.99), which speeds him from battle to battle in his big-screen adventure. Execute his signature Ninja Spin attack when you attach your 6-inch figure to the vehicle and press the seat.

This may be Snake Eyes's origin story, but he's not cycling solo: the movie features appearances from other fan-favorite Joes and Cobras alike. The evil side of the scale is represented by the villainous Baroness (played by Spanish star úrsula Corberó) and Cobra Commander bodyguard Storm Shadow (Andrew Koji), a ninja master who can match Snake Eyes blow for blow. (Here's another sign that the duo are equals: Storm Shadow comes with his own Stealth Cycle.) Defeating them will require some special tech — like Snake Eyes's Ninja Tech suit, which has a special action feature when you twist it at the waist. (All figures $9.99 each.)

Before he can get to the Baroness and Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes has to fight his way through Cobra enforcers like the Night Creepers and Red Ninjas. Good thing he's got some help in the form of Scarlett (Samara Weaving), a founding member of the G.I. Joe team and a counterintelligence champion. These particular figures won't be available until Nov. 1, by which point you'll have seen the movie and can re-enact specific fight scenes. (All figures $9.99 each.)

Beyond action figures, Hasbro is giving kids the opportunity to suit up as Snake Eyes with some role-play gear. Girls and boys can literally see the world through his (snake) eyes with the Special Missions Mask ($19.99), which includes a heads-up display among its electronic light features.

Meanwhile, the Ninja Strike Morning Light ($19.99) puts Snake Eyes's sword in kids' hands. While it (thankfully) may not be razor-sharp like the onscreen version, it does feature a light-up blade and electronic sound effects that'll bring the movie's magic into your home.
