Giada De Laurentiis' Mom Makes Daughter Jade Blush While Asking About Her Boyfriend

The three generations of De Laurentiis women made focaccia in the kitchen as they gabbed about Jade's dating life

The De Laurentiis women know how to have some fun in the kitchen.

Giada De Laurentiis, her mom Veronica De Laurentiis and daughter Jade had fun during a livestream on the celebrity chef’s lifestyle site, Giadzy. In true grandma style, Veronica teased her granddaughter about her love life.

The video started with the trio cooking their family-favorite focaccia. As Veronica cut it up into small pieces, she asked Jade, 16, about her boyfriend.

“I am waiting for you to bring your boyfriend, and make me a plate of pasta,” she said to Jade. The high schooler responded with a coy smile, “Yes.”

Not only did she reveal her granddaughter’s relationship status, but she also told viewers his name. “Ivan, right?” she said to Jade, “[I'm] waiting!”

At this point, Jade walked off camera to take a drink of her soda, attempting to adorably push away the comments.

Giada peeked over and said, “Jade, you blushing yet?” Once she caught a glimpse of her daughter’s face, she confirmed, “Oh yeah. She’s just going to turn around now.”

Jade has been hitting several teenage milestones. In May, she attended prom.

In a sweet Instagram photo, Giada had her arm around a glammed-up Jade who wore a sparkly mini-dress and platform heels. Giada had to stand on her tiptoes just to almost reach the same height as her daughter.

“Sending Jadey off to prom last night ????” she wrote in the caption.

In the comment section, some followers noticed their uncanny resemblance. “Like mother like daughter,” one fan wrote.

Giada’s fellow chef friends, including Ree Drummond, wrote of her shock over how grown Jade is. “You are both gorgeous!! Jade is so grown up, I can’t process it!” the Pioneer Woman star commented.

Jade is De Laurentiis' only child with her ex-husband Todd Thompson. She turned 16 on March 29 and her parents both commemorated the special birthday with posts on Instagram.

“Today is Jadey’s sweet 16– where does the time go?” De Laurentiis captioned her post. “She is the most kind, beautiful, caring, smart young lady and I’m so lucky to call her mine ??.”
