Gigi Hadid Opens Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2024 Runway in Larger Than Life Angel Wings

Gigi Hadid made her highly anticipated return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway, opening the event on Tuesday in New York, marking her fourth appearance for the brand. The show saw Hadid getting things started in a memorable look, complete with the brand’s signature Angel wings. It was the first time the supermodel had hit the Victoria’s Secret runway since 2018.

For her opening look, Hadid embraced a soft, feminine aesthetic. She wore a satin pink bodysuit featuring a plunging neckline and gathered detailing at the waist, accented by delicate crystal embellishments.

The focal point of her outfit was the iconic Victoria’s Secret Angel wings. The oversized feathered wings were styled in a soaring, ethereal design, then finished off with a pair of Rene Caovilla’s heels.

The ensemble followed a high-energy performance by Lisa of Blackpink, setting the tone for Hadid’s grand entrance. With her short hair styled in a bob tucked behind her ears, Hadid completed the look with subtle makeup that emphasized her natural features.

Ahead of the event, Hadid shared her excitement on Instagram, reflecting on her journey with the brand. “After today’s rehearsal I can confirm that it will forever feel like a dream come true,” she wrote. “Looking back on some of my favorite VS show moments over the years and I’m so excited to do it again tomorrow, with the most incredible, dedicated, creative VS Team & with so many women I love and some I grew up watching. It is an honor.”

Hadid’s return to the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway continues her longstanding relationship with the brand, which began in 2015. As the founder of Guest In Residence, Hadid has also made waves in the fashion industry through her focus on knitwear and sustainable designs.

After a six-year hiatus, the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is back. The 2024 spectacle airs live on Prime Video and across the brand’s YouTube, Instagram and TikTok channels. Former Angels such as Tyra Banks, Alessandra Ambrosio and Taylor Hill will walk the runway alongside new faces like Paloma Elsesser and Devyn Garcia. Cher, Tyla and Lisa of Blackpink are the evening’s musical guests.
