Gina Torres Proves Barbiecore Isn't Over Yet at the Emmys

Gina Torres arrived at the 2024 Emmy Awards in a hot pink dress from Rhea Costa. The actress, who is currently starring in 9-1-1: Lone Star, is set to present during the ceremony this evening.
She brought her daughter, Delilah Fishburne, as her date for the evening.
Her appearance at the Emmys follows another awards show moment earlier this year. At the 2024 Golden Globes, Torres and her Suits costars Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty all reunited to present an award. On the carpet, Torres she spoke about the success of Suits on Netflix. "When it all came through, we were all texting each other," Torres said. "Yes, our text thread is insane right now. So it’s very exciting." Meghan Markle isn't in their group chat, however; as Torres shared, "We don’t have her number!"
Meghan opened up about Suits finding a new audience last year. "It was great to work on, such a great cast and crew. We had a really fun time," she said. "I was on it for seven seasons, so quite a bit. But it’s hard to find a show you can binge-watch that many episodes of these days, so that could have something to do with it. But good shows are everlasting."
The first eight seasons of Suits are now streaming on Netflix, and all seasons are available on Peacock.
There's also a Suits spinoff in the works starring Stephen Amell and set in Los Angeles. The official logline is as follows: "His firm is at a crisis point, and in order to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives. All of this is going on while events from years ago slowly unravel that led Ted to leave behind everything and everyone he loved."
As Suits: LA takes place in the same universe as the original Suits, Torres and other stars of the original show could hypothetically reprise their roles.
