From her first scene to her gradual downfall, Ginger served look after look. Here, take a look at some of Sharon Stone’s most iconic ensembles from Casino.
1. Ginger makes her debut
In Ginger’s very first scene in the film, she sports an embellished, white, sequined dress — and you’ll never believe where it came from.
“It was a vintage piece that Sharon Stone had in her own collection,” said Casino costume designer John Dunn to The Ringer. “She said, ‘Listen, I think I have a great idea. This is a dress I’ve got. Why don’t you take a look at it? And we tested it and everybody said, ‘That’s it. We’re not gonna come up with anything better than that.’”
2. Ginger glitters in gold
The gold, sequined dress Ginger wore by Ace’s side was stunning, but in real life, didn’t come without a pinch or two. Not only did it weigh a ton, but, “Those metal sequins were a nightmare,” Stone revealed to Access Hollywood. “Everywhere they seamed, they were cutting. They cut into my armpits and my neck. That dress was a misery.”
3. Stone embodies the 70s
Stepping off a plane alongside her husband, Ginger sparkles in a light blue leather number paired perfectly with white, knee-high boots. It doesn’t get more 70s than that!
4. Leather pants, before their revival
Ginger brings the heat in slim fitting black leather trousers and a shimmering low cut top.
5. Ginger and her jewels
Another important aspect of Ginger’s costuming was the elaborate jewelry that adorned her with each and every look. Between the gold and the jewels, we were drooling at the sight!
6. A runaway look
Ginger channeled a more western oriented look complete with fringe and a short ‘do as she embarked on a Lester fueled escapade.
