GloRilla, Juicy J, Yung Miami, And More To Perform At 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards
The performers for the 2024 BET Hip-Hop Awards have been announced and feature a variety of talent across the genre. In the lineup are 310babii, 2 Chainz, Big Boogie, Bossman DLow, E-40, GloRilla, Juicy J, Roscoe Dash, Soulja Boy, Trina, and Yung Miami.
For this year’s ceremony, the platform promises to reimagine the traditional award show format, according to a press release.
“Joe Crack is back for the 3-peat, night night baby,” detailed Fat Joe in a statement. The Bronx rapper returns to host the ceremonies for the third time. “It’s been a dream to host the ‘BET Hip-Hop Awards’ the past few years and I’m looking forward to taking things to the next level in Las Vegas. We’re going to be in a new city and location, but the excitement and entertainment at the awards will be even bigger than ever.”
Megan Thee Stallion leads in nominations followed by rivals Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Cardi B, GloRilla, Metro Boomin, Nicki Minaj, Future, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, A$AP Rocky, Common, Lil Wayne, Pete Rock, and Sexyy Red and the rising group 41 also received multiple nominations.
In addition to his competitive nominations, Travis Scott is set to be honored with this year’s I Am Hip-Hop Award. Previously, the honor has been granted to LL COOL J, Lil Wayne, Rakim, Snoop Dogg, and more.
“Travis Scott is a visionary artist who continues to push the boundaries of music, culture, and live performance,” explained Connie Orlando, EVP, Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy.
The 2024 show films on Tuesday (Oct. 8) at Drai’s Beachclub & Nightclub in Las Vegas and premieres on Oct. 15, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
