The first season of “The Golden Bachelor” started with 72-year-old Gerry Turner searching for love among 22 contestants.
In the end, he got engaged to 70-year-old Theresa Nist and the two revealed that they wanted to get married as soon as possible. Host Jesse Palmer announced at the end of the season finale that the wedding would air live on ABC and “all the Golden Women” would be in attendance.

Turner got engaged to Nist, a 70-year-old financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey.

Turner and Nist are still together. Nist shared a video to her Instagram on Sunday, Dec. 17, of her and Turner dancing to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ 1983 song “Islands in the Stream.”

Turner ended his season proposing to Nist. The two are engaged and set to be married in 2024. They were given a trip to Italy by the show as well.

“The Golden Wedding,” or the wedding ceremony between Turner and Nist, will air on Jan. 4, 2024.

Palmer announced at the end of the season finale that “all the Golden Women” would be at "The Golden Wedding"
Fhima recently spent her 65th birthday, on Dec. 28, and New Year's Eve in the hospital. She had an unexpected bowel blockage that led to emergency surgery which she shared on her Instagram story on Dec. 31.
Despite this, she confirmed on her Instagram story on Jan. 3 that she is feeling a lot better and will be attending "The Golden Wedding."
"I'm feeling so much better that now I get to go to the wedding," Fhima said. "And I can't wait to support Gerry and Theresa in their beautiful day and I know it's going to be really really amazing."
Susan Noles, who was eliminated in Week 5, will officiate the wedding.
Martin, Ellen Goltzer, Joan Vassos and Sandra Mason were seen in promotional materials for the wedding, so it can be assumed that they will be there.
Other contestants shown in posts who are attending include Anna Zalk, Nancy Hulkower, Edith Aguirre and April Kirkwood.

Who is officiating 'The Golden Bachelor' wedding?
'The Golden Wedding' will be officiated by Kris Jenner lookalike and former contestant Susan Noles.
"I guess the secret is out! I'm officiating THE GOLDEN WEDDING and I'm just beyond excited," Noles shared on Instagram.
She was eliminated during Week 5. On top of being an officiant, she has had a longtime career as a hair and makeup artist.
