Will there be a 'Golden Bachelorette'? These women from 'Golden Bachelor’ deserve a season
“The Golden Bachelor” launched its first season with 72-year-old Gerry Turner searching for love among 22 contestants.
After a dramatic, heart-wrenching finale, Turner ended up choosing Theresa Nist and the pair are now engaged and planning to get married as soon as possible.
Now that Season 1 has ended, fans are wondering: What’s next?
Will ABC have Season 2 of “The Golden Bachelor” and search for another male lead? Or will they look among the female contestants for a “Golden Bachelorette” leading lady?
Here’s what we know about a potential "Golden Bachelor" spinoff, as well as the women we’d like to see looking for love in their very own seasons.
Will they have a ‘Golden Bachelorette’?
ABC has not confirmed whether there will be a “Golden Bachelorette” spinoff. However, host Jesse Palmer told Entertainment Tonight that he has been pushing for the new show.
"I really hope we do it. I've been clamoring for it as well," Palmer said to ET. "I just love the group of women on Gerry's season. I can't single one out specifically. I think there's a number that would be phenomenal Golden Bachelorettes, and that are very deserving of that opportunity."
Palmer said he is on the edge of his seat waiting to find out if "Golden Bachelorette" will happen. He went so far as to say he’d love to see a mansion of 70-something-year-old men.
He also said “Golden Paradise” — a spinoff of “Bachelor in Paradise” but with older contestants — would be “incredible.”
Will there be a ‘Golden Bachelorette’ 2024?
No announcement has been made about a possible “Golden Bachelorette” spinoff. However, if ABC gives it the green light, you can probably expect filming to take place in 2024.
Meanwhile, there will be a new season of “The Bachelor” starring Joey Graziadei in 2024. Graziadei was a contestant on Charity Lawson’s season of “The Bachelorette.” His Season 28 will premiere on Jan. 22 on ABC.
Who won on ‘Golden Bachelor’?
The final two women on Turner’s season of “The Golden Bachelor” were Nist and Leslie Fhima. In the end, Nist left with Turner.
Who does ‘The Golden Bachelor’ choose 2023?
Turner found love with Nist and gave her a golden rose along with an engagement ring. The two are still together and looking to get married on Jan. 4, 2024. They were given a trip to Italy as well. "All the Golden Women" will be at the wedding, Palmer announced at the end of "The Golden Bachelor" finale.

Who do we want to see as the lead for ‘The Golden Bachelorette’?
These are the fan favorites we'd like to see as the lead in a “The Golden Bachelorette” spinoff:
Susan Noles
Noles became a fan favorite. Many said she bears a resemblance to Kris Jenner, leading to her getting a message from the Kardashian mom-ager herself during the Women Tell All episode.
"We are obsessed with all of you, but me? Susan, you are amazing, and (I) love your style, love the hair and you nailed it, doll,” Jenner said.
The 66-year-old wedding officiant and makeup and hair stylist from Philadelphia is outgoing and fun. A season with her as the lead would not be boring, especially if she brings her meatballs and pink go-go boots.
Joan Vassos
Vassos left "The Golden Bachelor" early by self-eliminating during the Oct. 12 episode after her daughter gave birth.
"Things go wrong, and even if everything went right, you need your mom," Vassos said on the episode. "My family will always be first. Once you become a mom, you're always a mom, even when your kids are older. Nothing is more important."
She had just gone on her first one-on-one date with Gerry before leaving and the two had a strong connection. So it's sad that Vassos did not have the chance to explore that relationship further.
As the Golden Bachelorette, it would be interesting to see her journey especially given how close and open she is about her family.
Faith Martin
A fan favorite for the lead of "The Golden Bachelorette," Martin's breakup with Turner after Hometown Dates was gut-wrenching.
The two had said "I love you" to each other, so her leaving was a bit unexpected for many viewersand was filled with tears.
Martin arrived on a motorcycle when she first met Turner. The 61-year-old high school teacher from Washington also won the first impression rose.
She has a great personality and a sense of adventure, a perfect combination for any lead.
Leslie Fhima
The last person on this list is a surprise for many, as fans believed Turner would choose Fhima as the winner of his season.
Fhima was confused when Turner dumped her after he told her she was the one. Seeing the breakup was painful and emotional.
The 64-year-old fitness instructor from Minnesota has been open about her struggles through two marriages. She's fun and has said that she dated Prince when she was younger and he wrote "Sexy Dancer" about her.
She would be the perfect Golden Bachelorette: She's eloquent and knows what she needs and deserves. Seeing her journey would be refreshing.
