"Do you want to see him?" she asked her pup, whose gaze was fixed at the Golden's window.

"POV: Your dog has a Golden Retriever BF next door," Leia's owner wrote in the video's text overlay.

The woman set the video to the song "That's Amore," by Dean Martin, really giving it those Disney vibes.

This budding romance had people in the comments section all a-flutter. "Sis glowing when she saw him, I'm here for it," wrote one person. "Aww the way she lights up looking at him," another commenter gushed. "Let them meet outside. They deserve to go on a walk together," a third person added. "Ok Leia.. you think he’s cute. We need to set up a date," someone else teased.

Can Dogs Fall in Love?

Dogs are highly affectionate and highly social creatures. They can bond with their humans deeply, but what about other dogs? Not only can dogs bond and form tight relationships with other pooches, they can even fall in love.

When dogs have a positive interaction with another dog, they release oxytocin. This is sometimes called the "love hormone," and researchers have found that a dog's oxytocin level rises only when their affection is reciprocated.

Dogs are more likely to fall in love with dogs that have similar personalities, play styles, and energy levels. They also may prefer dogs that are similar ages, as older dogs and puppies might not be compatible with each other. When it comes to dogs, opposites don't really attract.

A dog's breed might also play a part in their love life. Dogs of similar breeds or the same breed are more likely to bond. A breed that is super athletic probably won't bond with a dog that is more of a couch potato. It makes a lot of sense, right?

Honestly, it makes us happy to think at dogs can fall in love with each other. They deserve a little happiness.
