Golden Globe predictions: Ebon Moss-Bachrach (‘The Bear’) favored to win for Season 3
Fresh off of his second consecutive Emmy win for “The Bear,” Ebon Moss-Bachrach is now predicted to take home his first trophy at the 2025 Golden Globes. The 47-year-old actor leads our Golden Globe predictions for Best TV Supporting Actor, a catch-all category that combines performances from dramas, comedies, limited series and made-for-television movies.
Moss-Bachrach plays Richard “Richie” Jerimovich, the manager of the titular restaurant in which Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White) is the head chef. He received his first career Golden Globe bid last year, but lost to Matthew Macfadyen for the final season of “Succession,” which swept almost every category. Note that Moss-Bachrach is now eligible for Season 3 of “The Bear,” which aired this summer, while he just won the Emmy for Season 2, which aired last year.

At this early stage, Moss-Bachrach’s closest competitors at the Golden Globes look to be Tadanobu Asano (“Shogun”), Peter Sarsgaard (“Presumed Innocent”), Jack Lowden (“Slow Horses”), Robert Downey Jr. (“The Sympathizer”) and Harrison Ford (“Shrinking”). All but Sarsgaard and Ford recently competed at the Emmys, as their shows aired after the eligibility cut-off date.
Currently at Gold Derby, a leading seven out of our 12 Golden Globes Experts are predicting a victory for Moss-Bachrach: Christopher Rosen (Gold Derby), Kristen Baldwin (Entertainment Weekly), Peter Travers (ABC), Ray Richmond (Gold Derby), Susan King (Gold Derby), Susan Wloszczyna (Gold Derby) and Thelma Adams (Gold Derby).
As for the other five Experts, Jazz Tangcay (Variety) and Joyce Eng (Gold Derby) go with Lowden, Debra Birnbaum (Gold Derby) and Keith Simanton (IMDb) choose Asano, and Ben Travers (Indiewire) picks Sarsgaard. Have you made YOUR Golden Globe predictions yet? It’s fun and easy — start right now!
