Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell Take Major Action After Two Break-ins

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell were forced to make major changes after their home was broken into on two separate occasions.

The longtime couple—who've been dating since 1983 and have intentionally remained unmarried—live in a mansion in Los Angeles, but unfortunately, the property has been privy to home invasions over the years, a terror that Hawn recently opened up about.

While visiting Kelly Ripa for an appearance on her podcast, Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, on Wednesday, June 12, the Bird on a Wire star told the talk show host that "we were robbed once," further adding that it happened again just months later.

"We went out to dinner. You know, we went to have dinner together and we were gone maybe two hours and 20 minutes or something," she recollected of the evening the incident first took place.

Hawn continued: "We came back and then went in the house and, you know, looked at, I saw this thing was on like 'Mutiny on the Bounty,' which I can't believe I remember what I was watching, but anyway, and I said, 'I think I'm gonna go to bed,' and like he says every night, 'Now?'

After walking up the stairs, the Snatched star said she "just lost it" at the sight of the damage. "They had broken in from the balcony to our bedroom, our closets, and they completely knocked down my door, which is a safe door, so they're very, very sophisticated and they got, you know, a lot of my goodies, if you know what I mean," the actress added.

Following the harrowing experience, she thought to herself "odds are that's not gonna happen again," but alas, about "four months" later, she found herself home alone when another intruder tried to make their way into her home.

Needless to say, the terrifying situations led the couple to hire guards for protection. "I've had a guard, yes. I've had a guard especially when I'm alone now. I'm never without a guard," the Overboard star shared.
