A golf amusement park: Everything to know about Tiger Woods' new PopStroke near Scottsdale
PopStroke, an experiential golf and casual dining venue, opened its second metro Phoenix location at the Pavilions at Talking Stick on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Reservation near Scottsdale on Friday, Oct. 6.
The entertainment destination, owned by Tiger Woods, brings a touch of technology to the golf experience for an interactive and customizable experience. The new location features 18-hole putting courses with synthetic turf and meticulously designed holes for accessible play for all skill levels.
“The great thing about putting specifically within golf entertainment is that it connects and resonates with everybody regardless of your age or your skill level or your background,” said Greg Bartoli, CEO and founder of PopStroke.
Besides golfing, PopStroke offers a variety of craft beer, wine, food and ice cream and activities like cornhole, foosball, ping pong and a playground for kids.
“The ability for us to connect people in a more meaningful way through the game of golf, but also offer other amenities like cornhole and foosball, we truly try to have something for everyone,” said Bartoli.

What are PopStroke's putting courses like?
PopStroke at Pavilions at Talking Stick offers two 18-hole putting courses, plus a "challenge hole."
“All the courses and holes are very different from one location to another. We have 36 holes here with a challenge hole. So really 37 holes,” said Bartoli.
PopStroke constructs its golf courses with synthetic turf, customizing each course uniquely for its location, so the courses you play at the new location will be distinct from the courses you might have played at the Glendale location. Both venues incorporate "undulations, fairways, bunkers and rough as seen on traditional golf courses," according to a press release.
How much does it cost to play at PopStroke?
Each guest keeps a PopStroke TaylorMade commemorative ball with their round of golf.
“My partners are Tiger Woods and TaylorMade, so all of our guests here get a TaylorMade golf ball to take home with them as a keepsake. There's also upgraded opportunities for TaylorMade putters, which the professional golfers use on tour that you can come experiment with here as well,” said Bartoli.
Prices are for a full day pass and include access to all holes.
Prices Monday-Thursday:
All Day Play: $35.
Seniors (60 years and older): $28.
Military: $28.
Kids ages 3-5 years old: $21.
Friday-Sunday
All Day Play: $40.
Seniors (60 years and older): $32.
Military: $32.
Kids ages 3-5 years old: $24.
Prices for the putter rental are as follows:
TaylorMade putter rental: $10 and all day pass
TaylorMade premium experience: $14 and all day pass
They also offer specials on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday:
Monday: Senior day (ages 60+): $25 for all day play.
Tuesday: Kids day: $18 for all day play and ice cream.
Wednesday: College day (requires college ID): $28 for all day play.
Food and drink options at PopStroke
PopStroke offers American casual dining with food options including smash burgers and various finger foods like nachos, wings and flatbread pizzas.
The Pavilions location has two bars serving beers from local breweries like Huss Brewing and Four Peaks.
There's also a milkshake bar that offers 20 different flavors of ice cream like orange blossom, cappuccino crunch and blueberry cheesecake. for specialty milkshakes like the Cookie Monster, made with blue panda ice cream and Oreo crumbles and the S’mores Me, made with vanilla ice cream infused with Golden Grahams and topped with mini marshmallows.

How to visit PopStroke at Pavilions at Talking Stick
No reservations are needed. If you are planning to have an event or a birthday party, private spaces are available to rent in advance.
Hours: 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday to Thursday; 10 a.m.-12 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
