Shortly after the announcement of David Schwimmer (Friends) leading the cast of Goosebumps Season 2, Disney+ has added more names to the upcoming season of the anthology series. Joining Schwimmer is Ugly Betty star Ana Ortiz, who is set to portray dedicated police detective Jen.

In addition to Schwimmer as former botany professor Anthony and Ortiz as Jen, Disney+ has also rounded out new series regulars, including Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay) as CJ, Galilea La Salvia (Party Down) as Frankie, and Francesca Noel (R#J) as Alex. Dead to Me star Sam McCarthy and Side Hustle’s Jayden Bartels will star as fraternal twins Devin and Cece, respectively.

The first season of Goosebumps debuted to critical acclaim and garnered over 4 million views worldwide in its first three days. The show also received a PGA Award nomination for the Outstanding Children’s Program category and a DGA Award nomination for the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Children’s Programs category.

What to expect in Season 2?

Inspired by R.L. Stine‘s bestselling book series, the upcoming season will present a new story centering on fraternal twins Devin and Cece as they slowly discover secrets and mysteries surrounding them.

The official synopsis for Goosebumps Season 2 reads: “The new story begins with Devin and Cece, fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

No release date has been set yet for the second season.
