Rock: Grace Potter is a blues rock musician and singer-songwriter known for her powerful voice, which has drawn comparisons to Janis Joplin and Bonnie Raitt. In 2005, Potter and her backing band, The Nocturnals, signed to Hollywood Records and released the album "Nothing but the Water," which propelled them to fame. Since then, Potter has released more albums and toured with bands such as Govt. Mule, Dave Matthews Band and The Black Crowes.

Even though Potter split with The Nocturnals following her divorce from drummer Matt Burr, she continued on as a solo artist and opened for The Rolling Stones during the band's 2015 tour.

Potter will perform on Saturday at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.

Cabaret: Ken Page, a Broadway actor and singer, has enjoyed a prolific career. He performed in the stage debut of "The Wiz" as The Lion, portrayed Old Deuteronomy in "Cats" and Ken in "Ain't Misbehavin'." Fans of the 1993 animated musical "The Nightmare Before Christmas" might recognize Page as the voice of Oogie Boogie. Additionally, he wrote and performed in his own cabaret-singing show "Page by Page."

Page will perform on Thursday at Coachella Valley Repertory as part of its Summer Cabaret Series.

Funk: What do you get when you take two members of the Jazz band Snarky Puppy and combine them with musicians who have played with Prince, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Toto and more? The funk jazz band Ghost Note. In 2014, Robert “Sput” Searight and Nate Werth created Ghost Note as percussion-immersed, futuristic funk and jazz band.

The band's albums and live shows feature a rotating cast of musicians which have included jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington and young guitar prodigy Brandon "Taz" Neiderauer.

Ghost Note will perform on Saturday at Pappy and Harriet's.

Sunday

Mexican: Intocable is renowned in the regional Mexican music genre, but the Texas band also incorporates pop and rock music into its sound with catchy melodies, skilled musicianship and extraordinary harmony. In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Intocable released the album "Modus Operandi" in February produced by Don Was, who has also produced albums by Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Elton John.

Intocable will perform on Sunday at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
