Grey’s Anatomy Heartbreak: R.I.P., [Spoiler]?

It’s been a rough season for the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital… and viewers are in for a very long couple of months as we await the return of Grey’s Anatomy. That’s right, months, because the next new episode won’t be airing until Thursday, March 6. And that means that we won’t be getting answers to the various questions raised in the fall finale anytime soon!

The question that’s going to keep us awake nights? Who got shot at that convenience store… and will they survive? For those who didn’t watch, Jo and Lucas’ simple errand to buy ice turned into a complete nightmare thanks to an armed robber. By episode’s end, a scene familiar to soap fans played out, with Lucas and the robber struggling over a gun, which of course fired, leaving us to wonder who may have bitten the bullet, both literally and metaphorically.
While it seems likely that one of the two men were shot, the bullet could have gone anywhere, meaning that Jo and Gladys, the convenience store worker, could also be in the line of fire. As if that wasn’t enough to keep us up nights, Jo — who is carrying twins — had begun bleeding… and this was after we’d been told that the heatwave through which Seattle was suffering could cause premature labor.

There were, of course, other questions raised during the hour. For example, we were left to wonder if Owen — ticked at his wife’s friendship with Cass (special guest star Sophia Bush) — might impulsively wind up hitting the sheets with an ex who’d conveniently showed up. And it sure looked as if Blue and his amnesia-stricken ex were ready to dive back into their relationship!
