A Guide to the 14 Kids From TLC's 'Doubling Down With the Derricos'
On June 15, 2024, Deon and Karen Derrico, stars of TLC's Doubling Down With the Derricos and parents to 14 (yes, 14!) children, confirmed that their time as a married couple had come to an end.
“Together, we remain unified in the parenting of our 14 beautiful children—their well-being is our priority," they shared in a statement to Parade. "We thank everyone for their understanding and support as we move forward for the good of our family.”
As they continue to chronicle their life on television, let's take a closer look at their big brood.
What are the names and ages of all the Derrico kids?
Deon and Karen share 14 children: Darian, 18, Derrick, 13; twins Dallas and Denver, 12; quintuplets Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten, 10; twins Diez and Dior, 6; and triplets Dawsyn, De'Aren and Dyver, 4.

Who are the Derrico kids?
Darian Derrico, 18
The eldest Derrico child, a recent high-school graduate, found herself debating whether she wanted to go to college—and pushing back on what she felt like was pressure from her mother—in a June 2024 episode of the family's TLC show.
"I didn't always want to go to school," the teenager admitted. "When you say college can help you or whatever, I was like, 'Yeah, that's cool. But I don't really know what I want to do.' So I wish you kind of didn't talk about it anymore and then let me do my own research."
Karen told her daughter she wasn't "trying to take over."
"I wanted to make sure I gave to you what I wish someone had given to me," she explained.
Darian then clarified her stance, telling her mom, "I understand what you were doing when you were pushing me to go. But I want to do this because I want to do this. I don't want to do this because I feel, like, pressured or pushed."
Whatever Darian decides, the world is her oyster!
Derrick Derrico, 13
Karen has described her firstborn son as "smart, caring, handsome, and charming."
"I love you baby and I know you will be the millionaire that you manifest daily!" she shared on his 12th birthday. "Don’t ever be afraid to be you and Do you!!"
Denver and Dallas, 12
As Karen revealed on social media, her twins Denver and Dallas represent her first set of multiples and they set the "blueprint" for her birthing multiples thereafter.
"Y’all broke a record by being born the smoothest, easiest and fastest vaginal birth with my O.B!" she said. "He had never seen a set a twins in all his years of being an O.B enter the world like y’all did! And of course y’all were the blueprint to our next 3 sets of multiples!! I say that to continue to say… Keep breaking records."

Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten, 10
After the birth of her quintuplets, Karen (then going by her middle name Evonne) told Today's Savannah Guthrie that she was determined to give all of her then-nine children her attention.
“As a mother with nine children, you often think, ‘Do I have enough love for all of them,’” she said. “I think that’s been my number one priority to make sure that I’m not … I don’t want anyone to feel neglected or unloved or mistreated.”
Thankfully, she was able to get the rest she needed at the time to pull off parenting so many kids. “We’re all sleeping,” she shared. “We’re all in the room, one big happy family. We’re on a schedule. We have to be on a schedule. It starts right now. So everything is going good. We are all getting enough sleep and it’s working out amazingly well.”
Diez and Dior, 6
Twins Diez and Dior were meant to be triplets, but the third child, Carter Derrico, died a couple hours after delivery at 28 weeks. "The doctors asked us if we wanted to hold him because they weren't able to get the breathing tube down his throat," Deon revealed early on in the show. "So they knew he was going to perish." The family frequently pays homage to the child who didn't make it.
Dawsyn, De'Aren and Dyver, 4
Karen was pregnant with her last set of triplets when Doubling Down With the Derricos premiered. As is often the case with multiples, the little ones were born prematurely and needed to spend time in the NICU. Dawsyn in particular had to undergo two surgeries on her heart due to a condition called ventricular septal defect (VSD). But the youngest Derrico babies grew up to be healthy toddlers—not to mention reality TV stars!
How many babies do the Derricos have now?
The Derricos currently have 14 children, including multiple sets of multiples. Their family has expanded over the years, with the latest additions being their triplets—Dawsyn, De'Aren and Dyver—who are now 4 years old.
What happened to the Derricos adopted son?
The Derricos have an adopted son named Derron Derrico who is not featured on Doubling Down with the Derricos. Derron is the Derricos' oldest child, well into his 30s now, but he has not been part of the show's narrative.
Derron was adopted by Deon and Karen long before they started having their own biological children. However, Derron appears to have a strained relationship with his adoptive parents. In 2014, Derron accused Deon of taking out a student loan and credit cards in Derron's name without his knowledge when Derron was still in high school.
Derron also said he had been estranged from his father Deon for a year at the time of those 2014 allegations. Deon responded by saying he felt like he "helped raise the devil" when it came to Derron.
The Derricos have not publicly addressed Derron's absence from Doubling Down with the Derricos.
Did the Derricos lose a baby?
Unfortunately, yes. Karen Derrico has faced the heartbreak of multiple miscarriages over the years. In 2021, Karen and her husband Deon shared the devastating news that they had lost another pregnancy. It was Karen's seventh miscarriage overall, and her third in a row. The Derrico family has been open about how difficult these losses have been, but they've also done their best to put forward an optimistic response.
"Even though we aren't strangers to miscarriages, it's still a tough heartbreak to endure! Our hearts are broken and pieces of it go out to others that have endured this pain," the couple told PEOPLE in 2021. "However, we must continue to thank God for our children and many other blessings that we have, and in addition, we stay prayed up!"
