Guy Fieri to host a Super Bowl tailgate party in Glendale. Here's what we know and how to attend
On Sunday, Feb. 12, Guy Fieri is bringing a massive culinary tailgate event to Glendale ahead of Super Bowl 57.
The Super Bowl has long been one of Fieri's favorite events of the year, and the celebrity chef has hosted tailgate parties of a much smaller size before to celebrate his love for football and food. But this year, he decided to go all out and "throw a party that anyone can come to."
Guy Fieri's Flavortown Presented by Cash App will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on game day, and will include "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" restaurant popups, plenty of bars and local vendors for "A Taste of Phoenix," as well as musical performances by DIPLO and LOCASH.
Guy's Flavortown Tailgate at State Farm Stadium will be open to everyone
"It's been a tough run the last few years," Fieri said. "This is something that's gonna be a lot of fun for people, and a chance for those who may not be going to the Super Bowl to come and have a really great experience at one of the greatest games in the world."
The idea to hold the inaugural tailgate event at State Farm Stadium has been in the works for about a year, according to Fieri. But he said this year's tailgate is just the beginning.
"I want to see this carry on. I want to see this become as synonymous with the Super Bowl as the kickoff," Fieri told The Arizona Republic. "(I hope) people say, 'How are they going to pull it off next year when it's in Vegas?' We'll figure it out. But let's just get one under our belt first."
Fieri's event will be produced by Guy's production company Knuckle Sandwich, in partnership with Medium Rare, the event management company responsible for Shaquille O'Neal's Fun House and Rob Gronkowski's Gronk Beach.
