Guy Fieri and son stop by this Palm Beach County Italian restaurant for pizza
Though becoming more and more common since he bought a house in Lake Worth Beach and one on Singer Island, Guy Fieri sightings are still pretty exciting. That is, if you actually recognize the Food Network superstar.
When he stopped by Venezia Italian Pizza and Ristorante on Northlake Boulevard in North Palm Beach recently, chef Albert Vogli, who is married to owner Elida Vogli, said he actually didn't recognize him at first.
Vogli said he had been working in the back making dough, and when he came out to the dining area and saw this guy looking at him, he laughed and said, "I thought he was looking for Parmigiano. That was when one of the waitresses said, 'That's Guy Fieri.' "
Vogli said Fieri was shopping at a nearby business when he stopped by the restaurant with his son, Hunter. He said they ordered two slices of pizza. Volgi said Guy had a slice with pepperoni and sausage and that Hunter had just pepperoni.
Volgi said as soon as he realized who Fieri was, he said, "I apologized for not recognizing him" and added that he knew he had seen him somewhere and commented on his gold "bling."
Two regular customers who were dining at the restaurant and recognized Fieri asked to take a picture with him. He said yes, and added, "Make sure you give the waitress a good tip."
Vogli said that both Fieri and his son were very nice.
Venezia Italian Pizza & Ristorante is located at 513 Northlake Blvd., North Palm Beach and has been serving the area since 1987.
