Guy Fieri Teases New Change to ‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives’
Guy Fieri is teasing a big new change coming soon to ‘diners, drive-ins and dives.’ Above, Fieri speaks at the star ceremony where Sammy Hagar is honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on April 30, 2024 in Los Angeles, California.
Guy Fieri is riling up fans with a special new attraction that he joked would be joining his popular Food Network show.
The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives host revealed the exciting addition in a Tuesday, May 28 video that he shared on Instagram.
The video began with a blank view of the ground as Fieri, 56, prepared his social media followers for the big reveal. Once ready, he shifted his camera angle to show off his large new purchase.
“So, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, we have the ’68 Camaro,’ Fieri began, referring to the cherry red classic car often seen on the show. “And now we have the fire truck.”

True to Fieri’s video narration, the footage showed a bright red fire truck parked in a paved open space. Fieri, who collects classic American vehicles, explained that he "figured this is what we needed to add to the stable of cars.”
As he took fans on a brief tour around the truck, Fieri quipped that there was only one thing left for him to do. “Now I just need somebody that knows how to run all this to come teach me,” he said. “Who’s helping?”
The comment section on Fieri’s Instagram post was flooded with fans who volunteered to assist. One joking comment came from former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar, who Fieri recently spoke glowingly about as Hagar received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“I know who to call now when I got a problem,” Hagar wrote. “You called the police when you're in trouble you called the fire department when you need help.??.”
Others who left comments took Fieri’s request for assistance seriously.
“Maybe go to the local volunteer department and ask if they want to help you out?” one person suggested.
Another Instagram user said they had 37 years of experience as a volunteer firefighter “and yes I can run that nice clean rig.”
One fan also suggested that receiving help from a volunteer firefighter might lead to a fun event at Fieri’s ranch. “I suspect a salute to volunteer firefighters event at the ranch coming up………??,” they wrote.
And then there were those offering the help of fellow Food Network star Ree Drummond and her cowboy husband, Ladd. "Ladd & Ree Drummond - The Pioneer Woman! They have to have the training and supplies for their ranch! ??."
