Gwen Stefani Addresses Blake Shelton Divorce Rumors
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani is setting the record straight on her marriage, once and for all.
The No Doubt frontwoman and her husband, Blake Shelton, have faced public speculation that their relationship could be on the rocks, as they seem to be spending more time apart to work on their respective career projects. (Stefani is gearing up to play the Coachella music festival with her No Doubt bandmates, while the country star is prepping for his resuming Honky Tonk tour.)
Until now, the couple has remained quiet about the rumors, seemingly going on with their lives like business as usual. But Stefani, 54, is finally ready for everyone to face the truth.
The "Hollaback Girl" songstress called the divorce rumors "lies" during a new interview with NYLON published Tuesday, April 9, noting, "When you're in love and have truly aligned values, nobody can get to us."
"You can say whatever you want to say about our relationship—I mean, a week ago, we were getting divorced again or something," she stated while clarifying, "It's just lies. The truth is the truth, and we know what that is..."
Elsewhere in the interview, Stefani admitted to sometimes feeling insecurities and paranoia in her relationship with Shelton, 47, though it doesn't mean she's thinking about calling it quits anytime soon.
"I had been going through those times where you're questioning: 'Oh my gosh, am I just getting older? Am I cute?'" she told the publication. "In my own relationship, even though I know the truth of what's happening today, you still create drama in your own mind about your insecurities and what might happen. I was in that phase of the relationship with Blake and getting paranoid."
But through it all, there's one thing she definitely knows to be true: that she is still deeply in love with the country crooner.
"The truth is I am in love with my best friend," she said, "and all this s—t I'm thinking of in my brain, that's all it is—I'm overthinking."
Stefani and Shelton first met as coaches on The Voice in the midst of their divorces from exes Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, respectively. They tied the knot in 2021, and have been living that blissful Oklahoma ranch life together ever since.
