Gwyneth Paltrow Says She ‘Loves’ Being in Her 40s: I’ve Stopped Worrying What People Think of Me
Gwyneth Paltrow is living life to the fullest!
The 46-year-old actress opened up about embracing her age during a panel with CNN’s Poppy Harlow at SXSW on Monday.
“I am no longer in my 20s and 30s, I am 46 and I love being in my 40s,” Paltrow said. “I think there is this incredible freedom that comes with a woman in her 40s and understanding that this is who I am and I’ve stopped worrying so much about what people think of me.”
The Oscar winner said she also enjoys spending time with her two kids: 14-year-old daughter Apple and 12-year-old Moses.
“I have two incredible children who give me a full run for my money every day,” Paltrow said.
The star is also focusing on her health and lifestyle brand, Goop, which has grown into a $250 million business.

“I have this incredible company, I love my role and I love my team,” Paltrow said. “I love the challenges that come with it. I wake up every day [and] my days are very challenging but I feel like I have a lot of agency and I feel so thrilled by all of the challenges and so excited.”
She added, “It’s just a really fun time. Plus I married a really hot guy in September, you know!”
Paltrow tied the knot with American Horror Story producer Brad Falchuk in an intimate, star-studded ceremony in the Hamptons. She was previously married to Chris Martin for 11 years before “consciously uncoupling” in 2014.
While she’s been balancing motherhood and a new marriage, Paltrow has also been focusing on Goop and taking a step back from her acting career.

“I’ve never said that I am quitting acting,” Paltrow said told Today’s Savannah Guthrie ahead of her New York Goop Summit. “What I say is Goop is my full-time passion and being the founder and CEO of Goop is what I do all day, every day.”
She added, “Occasionally when something is the right thing and it works out around my children and my Goop life, I’m able to participate [in acting]. I think I’m just not focused on full time acting right now.”
