Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Rare Video of Son Moses, 18, as He Says She 'Hasn't Quite Gotten Rid of Me'
Paltrow shares Moses and daughter Apple, 20, with her ex-husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin
Gwyneth Paltrow is giving her followers a rare look into her son Moses' life, just as she gets ready to become an empty-nester.
On Friday, Aug. 23, the actress, 51, shared a video to her Instagram Stories answering a follower's question about whether or not she had mentally prepared herself to drop off Moses, 18, at college for the first time.
"Have you dropped both kids off to college yet?" the commenter asked Paltrow. "I'm doing that, I'm not ok."
"Not yet," she replied in the candid video, filming herself as she seemingly walked through her backyard. Moses then pops into frame, wearing a white t-shirt and a beach towel around his neck.
"She hasn't quite gotten rid of me," he joked, before Paltrow jokingly makes a stunned face into the camera.

Earlier this year in March, the Goop founder opened up to The Sunday Times about her younger child leaving for college — as her daughter Apple, 20, left for college for the first time two years ago.
"On the one hand, incredible sadness," she told the outlet at the time, reflecting on how she felt about Moses moving out of the house. "A deep sense of impending grief."
"On the other hand, this is exactly what should be happening," she said. "Your kids are supposed to be, you know, young adults who can achieve and cope and make connections and be resilient. That's exactly what you want. And that means they leave the house."
Moses — who, along with Apple, Paltrow shares with her ex-husband and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin — is set to attend Ivy League school Brown University in the fall.

Paltrow is also a step-mom to her husband Brad Falchuk's two children — one of whom is also moving out of their home this fall for college, making the house even emptier.
"In the fall, Brad [Falchuk] and I have boys that will be going off to university," Paltrow explained to the Times about Moses and her husband's son Brody. "It'll be interesting to see how the morning routine changes with no kids in the house."
Additionally, in an interview with Bustle in October, the Iron Man actress opened up about the college admissions process and revealed that her son had more a "relaxed" approach than her daughter.
"Apple was very clear on where she wanted to go, and did everything in her power to make it happen and manifested it," the mom-of-two told the outlet.
"Moses is like, 'I don't know, I like this and I like that, and let's go back and see this, let's go back and see that one.' He's more relaxed about it. He's kind of like 'I'll be happy wherever; it's fine,' which is a great feeling," she added.
"And it generally seems to work out," Paltrow finished "What I've observed is that sometimes you're like, 'Oh, no, this person didn't get into there, and it seemed like such a great fit.' "
