Haley Joel Osment Looks Nothing Like He Did Back When He Saw Dead People
We see you, Haley Joel Osment!
Osment is best known for his role as Cole Sear, the troubled kid in the 1999 hit horror film The Sixth Sense who could “see dead people.” Now 28, the bearded actor is all grown up and (almost) unrecognizable.
Even with his baseball cap and shaggy facial hair, photographers were still able to spot the former child star as he made his way into a bike shop in Burbank, Calif., on Tuesday. Osment’s youthful charm shined through his new rugged look as he playfully smiled for the cameras.
Keeping comfortable in his baggy T-shirt and brown flip-flops, Osment has slowly been making his way back into the spotlight after taking time away from acting to complete his education. Osment appeared in last year’s Entourage movie, has scored a few television roles and even tested his chops on Broadway. He’s now set to star in Moose Jaws, the final installment in Kevin Smith’s True North trilogy, alongside Johnny Depp and Depp’s daughter Lily-Rose.
Osment also recently worked on Sleepwalker, the 2015 thriller about a disturbed graduate student with chaotic, confusing nightmares, who turns to her university sleep research center for help. Sleepwalker’s plot line comes full circle for Osment, who launched his career by playing a boy who communicates with spirits and has to seek the help of a child psychologist.
But forget about “seeing dead people.” Judging by his lengthy list of upcoming projects, we’ll certainly be seeing more of Haley Joel Osment in the next few months.
