Halle Bailey Admits She May Have “Overreacted” To DDG Taking Their Son On Kai Cenat Livestream
After a cooling off period for all parties involved, Halle Bailey has admitted that — perhaps — she overreacted after seeing her infant son, Halo, on Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 2 stream with her ex, DDG.
The Little Mermaid star took to Twitter/X one day after calling out her child’s father for taking Halo on the platform to share that she probably shouldn’t have brought her personal feelings regarding DDG’s behavior to social media.
“Yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here,” she shared Thursday (Nov 7). “I know that halo is always safe with his dad. i just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing.” She then went on to thank Cenat for offering her son several gifts during his time on the livestream. Check out the post below.
The post comes after Bailey deleted much of her social media due to backlash from DDG fans who took issue with the songstress calling him out publicly. She chose to speak up after seeing her child on the livestream while she was out of town, unable to approve of his cameo with his dad and the streamer.
“Hi everyone. just so you know i am out of town and i don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight,” Halle said in a since-deleted post on Wednesday (Nov 6). “I wasn’t told or notified and i am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened that i wasn’t notified especially when i am out of town.”
In a follow up post, she added, “As a woman experiencing severe postpartum, there are boundaries that I wish to be respected. nobody knows what someone is going through until they snap.”
While DDG has not addressed his ex’s concerns publicly, he did share an image of all the gifts Kai bestowed upon their child after their exit.
DDG announced his split from the “In Your Hands” singer in early October 2024 with a message via Instagram.
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other. As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve build and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
