After keeping the world on their toes, Halle Bailey and DDG have finally revealed that they welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Halo, in 2023.

Bailey and DDG, né Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., announced the newest addition to their family on Sunday (Jan. 7) via Instagram. The new parents posted a photo of their three hands — the baby donning a gold bracelet etched with “Halo.”

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son,” The Little Mermaid star wrote. “Welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”

“The Moonwalking in Calabasas” rapper also posted the same image captioned with, “my biggest blessing by far son son.. never been so in love baby halo.” Additionally, DDG dropped a freestyle where he mentioned Halo, as well as Bailey’s “Wonder Woman” mothering.

The couple, who have been publicly dating since March 2022, also shared documented footage of their pregnancy in DDG’s latest vlog on Youtube.

In the video, which mostly shows DDG sitting in his Rolls Royce with a car seat in the back, he shows Bailey’s baby bump, sonogram footage, and even flicks from their baby moon in Bora Bora.

“A lot of y’all should quit y’all jobs and do detective work because y’all are pretty good at it,” he said regarding fans’ early speculations of the couple’s pregnancy. He added, “This is a great experience. I already feel like a professional.”

Besides mentioning that the baby has pee’d on him three times already, he also detailed his “scary” experience watching his son enter the world.

“I was like man, I don’t really want to see this,” he said. “But at the same time I don’t plan on having a million kids, maybe one or two more, but I’m probably not gonna see this again.” He went on, “So I went down there and I looked. It was the craziest sh*t I ever seen in my life. I have a newfound respect for women.”

He also credited fatherhood as a newfound “motivation” for him to make sure that his son never “wants for anything.”
