Halle Bailey Shines Bright At Movie Premiere Following Split From DDG
Halle Bailey is basking in her newfound glow with the help of a little green dress following her split from DDG.
On Tuesday (Oct. 15), the mother of one rocked a sequined greenish dress at the premiere of her new film, The Line, in New York City.
“Halo’s mommy on the way to ‘The Line’ premiere. So honored to be a part of such a beautiful film,” wrote The Little Mermaid star. Bailey flaunted her physique under the fitted dress as a mashup of Beyoncé’s “Diva” and GloRilla’s “TGIF” played in the background. She also posted a photo dump of more flicks from the premiere with her castmates.
This dress moment comes after DDG announced in a statement from earlier this month that he and the “Angel” singer broke up.
“After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared,” wrote the rapper-gamer on Instagram.
He continued, “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.” DDG mentioned that he and Bailey intend to “focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents,” while they “cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared.”
The two were first romantically linked in January 2022 and welcomed their son Halo in late 2023.
Bailey opened up about being a working mom on Snapchat the day before flying out for the premiere.
“Flying tonight to be somewhere for one day but having crippling anxiety without my son,” she reflected. “Any advice for moms who still can’t handle when they have to leave for work?” She answered the rhetorical question in a later post that read: “Maybe a little bubbly will help.”
