Halle Berry Calls Boyfriend Van Hunt's Mom Her 'Beautiful Mother-in-Law' in Tribute: 'We Love You'

"My son loves you and so do I," Hunt's mother Doris wrote in a comment on the actress' Mother's Day tribute

Halle Berry is wishing a happy Mother's Day to boyfriend Van Hunt's mom, Doris Edwards Drayton.

In an Instagram post May 12, the Oscar-winning actress shared three photos featuring Drayton, beginning her caption, "Happy Mother’s Day to all the glorious mothers of the world and especially my beautiful mother-in-law, DJ!"

The slideshow began with a selfie of Drayton and Berry, 57, before going on to show a solo image of Drayton and concluding with a throwback of her with Hunt, 54, as a child.

"You’ve come into our lives and brought the sunshine with you. I so admire the way you love with such grace and style!" Berry continued in her caption.

She concluded, "When you shower us with your pearls, we are instantly made better! We love you so very much."

Drayton responded in a comment on the post, "Happy Mother’s Day, daughter! The love and light that you bring to my life shines bright."

"You are a wonderful mother, friend and inspiration," she continued of Berry, who's mom to daughter Nahla, 16, and son Maceo-Robert, 10. "My son loves you and so do I."

For his part, Hunt re-shared Berry's tribute to his Instagram Stories — and also honored Berry with a cheeky post of his own, dedicated to his girlfriend.

In Hunt's image, the Catwoman star could be seen posing nude on a balcony, surrounded by plants as she faced her body away from the camera and shot a sultry look over her shoulder.

"Happy Mother's day from the bottom ... of my heart. Oh s---, I wasn't s'posed to post that!" Hunt joked in the post's caption, adding, "Butt ... u hav to admit thassa badass ... mutha right there!"

Berry shares daughter Nahla with ex Gabriel Aubry, and son Maceo with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. Hunt is a father to a teenage son named Drake.

Berry has teased that she and Hunt want to tie the knot eventually, and they've been candid about their love and their support for each other as a happy, blended family.

Back in 2022, the Bruised director-actress spoke with AARP The Magazine about how she believes she's "found my person" in Hunt, who is a musician.

"My son Maceo on his own did this little commitment ceremony for us in the back seat of the car," Berry also said at the time. "I think he finally sees me happy, and it's infectious. It was his way of saying, 'This is good. This makes me happy.' "

"It was a very real moment for all of us," she continued. "I teared up, Van was fighting back tears. Even Maceo knew he'd said something poignant. I have two children; Van has a son. As a mom living this modern, blended family, all I care about is that my kids are okay with my decisions."
