The beloved Hallmark star is honoring heroes who are making a positive impact in their communities by throwing them the celebration of a lifetime. It’s the type of show that requires a box of tissues handy because the tears will be flowing — and those emotions sure surprised Chabert while she was filming the series.

“I love talking to people,” Chabert shared with Soaps.com “I love hearing their stories and hearing what their journey has been like. And we get to do that not only with our heroes but we also get to learn about our heroes before the surprise with their loved ones and their coworkers and the people that they’ve impacted.” Their moving stories cut so deep that she learned that she’s quite the “crier” while filming the series.

“Every step of the way, my heart was just so touched,” she added. “And the biggest moment of having the hero walk in and realize that this party is for them, and they’re being surrounded by all this love. Oh, that got me every time.” The 10-episode series isn’t the only way Hallmark fans will experience Chabert this fall, she also has her romantic holiday drama with co-star Kristoffer Polaha, The Christmas Quest. It’s sure to be another delightful Hallmark favorite!

This time around though, there will be no dancing. Chabert kicked up her heels in 2020’s The Christmas Waltz and 2023’s The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango, both with her beloved leading man, Will Kemp. Her movement talents have led to many viewers asking why she hasn’t been on Dancing With the Stars yet — she seems like an obvious casting choice for the ABC show and that mirror ball trophy! Well, we hate to disappoint you, but she’s a hard no when it comes to twirling in the ballroom.

“I’m too shy,” Chabert admitted, “Yes, I have been asked. I love the show so much. I’m like a super fan of the show. I’ve enjoyed doing it for movies and I learned a routine, but it was actually a big fear I had to overcome.” She described herself as “a nervous dancer” and “live TV makes it a lot more scary.” While “it’s been a couple of times” [that Dancing With the Stars has asked her], the answer is still no.  As much as the fanbase would love to see her sparkle and spin in those ballroom heels, Chabert confirmed, “I love this show, but I’ll just watch from home.”

Celebrations With Lacey Chabert premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 10 on Hallmark +.
