Hallmark is expanding!
The network announced on Wednesday, Aug. 14, that it is launching a new streaming service, Hallmark+, which will be available Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Members will have access to exclusive benefits, rewards and retail product offerings, including free greeting cards monthly and unlimited free eCards. They can earn rewards points including a $5 coupon each month and free annual membership gifts.
The membership fees will be $79.99 annually and $7.99 monthly.
On the day of the launch, Hallmark will premiere several new original series on its new platform, including the scripted series The Chicken Sisters and the unscripted series Celebrations with Lacey Chabert.
The former is based on KJ Dell'Antonia's New York Times bestselling novel about two families who own rival restaurants in the Deep South as they compete for the title of the best fried chicken in town. The show stars Lea Thompson, Genevieve Angelson, Schuyler Fisk, Wendie Malick, James Kot, Rukiya Bernard, Ektor Rivera, Jake Foy and Margo Martindale as the narrator.
Meanwhile, Hallmark favorite Chabert, 41, will host Celebrations, which spotlights unrecognized heroes who are positively impacting their communities. The 10-episode series will follow Chabert as she works with professional party planners, celebrity friends and volunteers, to plan an unforgettable event in just three days for all of the deserving honorees.
Both series debut on Sept. 10, and new episodes will premiere every Thursday beginning Sept. 12.
Later that month, the Love on the Danube movie trilogy will premiere and take audiences “on a breathtaking river cruise stopping in picturesque European ports,” per the press release.
It will begin with Love on the Danube: Love Song's premiere on Sept. 10. Then, Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway will debut on Thursday, Sept. 19, before Love on the Danube: Kissing Stars rounds out the trilogy on Sept. 26.
Jodie Sweetin and Stephen Huszar’s The Jane Mysteries will return with three new installments, beginning on Sept. 10 with The Jane Mysteries: A Deadly Prescription, following Sweetin’s Jane and Huszar’s John as they work to clear a teenager’s name.
The Jane Mysteries: Murder at Moseby will premiere the following week on Sept. 19, and follow Jane as she solves a long-standing mystery at her college alma mater. Then, on Sept. 26, The Jane Mysteries: Too Much to Lose will drop and follow Jane as she investigates a journalist’s suspicious disappearance.
