Now that the kids are back in school, we have made it past Labor Day, and the sun is setting a tiny bit earlier each night, we are officially entering the South’s favorite season. Football season, of course! But what could be better than football? Football with a hint of what’s to come for the holiday season, of course!

Thursday night, just ahead of the season opener, Tyler Hynes and Hunter King joined the Kansas City Chiefs at their "World's Largest Tailgate” to announce the premiere date for their football themed flick Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story and they shared a sneak peek as well. Check it out:

Per this clip, we now know that this football-centric flick will premiere as a part of the annual Countdown to Christmas in the coveted Saturday night of Thanksgiving weekend spot, November 30 at 8p.m. EST.

As we previously reported, Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story stars Tyler Hynes, Hunter King, and Ed Beagly Jr. The supporting cast and list of cameos is jam-packed with stars including Jenna Bush Hager, Donna Kelce, Diedrich Bader, Megyn Price, Richard Riehle, Christine Ebersole, Richard Christie and Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid alongside many Kansas City Chiefs players.

The movie was filmed entirely on location in Kansas City and at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

The official logline states that in Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, Alana Higman (King) enters her family of Kansas City Chiefs superfans in the team’s “Fan of the Year” contest. That’s how she meets Derrick (Hynes), Director of Fan Engagement, who is tasked with evaluating how Alana and her family stack up against the other two finalists. Sparks fly as the pair spends time together… that is, until her grandfather’s vintage Chiefs hat goes missing.

“Alana begins to doubt everything she believes about fate, destiny and even questions her future with Derrick—unless, that is, a little Christmas magic can throw a Hail Mary,” the synopsis teases.

The partnership between Hallmark and the NFL goes beyond just the film itself. Each and every home game for the Chiefs will have a sprinkle of that Hallmark magic. Per a press release, here is some of what they have planned:

Hallmark “Star Cam” - Hallmark’s spin on a classic “Kiss Cam”, The Star Cam matches fans in the crowd with their own Hallmark holiday movie superlatives at home games all season long. Think “Secret Hallmark Fan”, “Queen of Christmas”, “Future Hallmark Star”, and more!

Hallmark Branded Tailgate Activation Zone – Also at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium all season long, a tailgate experience like no other, including a festive photo opportunity, free hot cocoa, and more surprises fans won’t want to miss.

Gate Giveaway – Fans will receive a one-of-a-kind Chiefs x Hallmark Channel themed pennant as they walk into GEHA Field at Arrowhead during the November 29 home game to mark the movie premiere weekend.

Featured Merchandise - Coming soon, get excited to get your hands on featured items from what’s sure to be your next favorite Hallmark Christmas movie! (Now that’s a touchdown.)

The partnership with this specific team makes sense as Hallmark was founded in 1910 in Kansas City, and that is where their corporate headquarters remain today.

“This holiday season, Hallmark is all about bringing joy to the world…Our new partnership with the NFL and Chiefs is uniquely designed to do just that — to find universal ways to spread cheer, tell heartwarming stories and build excitement for our treasured hometown brands during this very special time of year,” Darren Abbott, Chief Brand Officer, Hallmark said.
