Halsey Announced She's Engaged To Avan Jogia After The VMAs

Halsey confirmed their engagement to Avan Jogia following the 2024 VMAs.

The couple first went Instagram official in October 2023, after being spotted together in previous months. There was some internet speculation that the pair have been engaged since the summer, but nothing was confirmed. Halsey shares a 3-year-old son, Ender, with her ex Alev Aydin.

On the red carpet before the awards, Halsey was asked about their relationship with the Canadian actor. "Avan is the best. He's one of the greatest things that ever happened to me. And every single day that I get to spend with him is one where I just feel like I'm with my best friend. It's incredible," they replied.

When asked explicitly if she thinks they'll get married, Halsey replied, "I hope so" — before adding of Avan's relationship with Ender, "They're best friends, too. They're inseparable."

Following the event, Halsey took to X to correct a post about "Boyfriend Avan Jogia" — by writing, "***fiancé Avan Jogia."

Halsey corrects Pop Base, confirming Avan Jogia is her fiancé, not just her boyfriend
