“I feel like an old lady,” Halsey said in the first clip while rubbing her legs in apparent pain. “I told myself I’m giving myself two more years to be sick. At 30, I’m having a rebirth and I’m not gonna be sick and I’m gonna look super hot and have lots of energy and I’m just gonna get to re-do my 20s in my 30s.”
The “Without Me” artist also released a new song, an acoustic guitar ballad titled “The End” and announced her upcoming fourth studio album, a follow-up to 2021’s If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
“Long story short, I’m lucky to be alive,” the Grammy-nominated singer wrote in the post’s caption. “Short story long, I wrote an album.”
The following day, she shared some additional details about her diagnosis. “You’ve all been so kind so I want to share a bit more,” she wrote in a new post on Instagram Wednesday. “In 2022, I was first diagnosed with Lupus SLE and then a rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder. Both of which are currently being managed or in remission; and both of which I will likely have for the duration of my life. After a rocky start, I slowly got everything under control with the help of amazing doctors.”
Halsey said she will donate proceeds from her latest single to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance, The Associated Press reported.
The “Bad At Love” singer previously revealed on Instagram in May 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome, known as MCAS, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, known as POTS. Halsey has also been open on social media about her struggle with endometriosis.
