Hannity lashes out at Seth Meyers after comments about 'sociopaths' preventing gun control
Sean Hannity blasted Seth Meyers on his Fox News show Thursday night, for comments the Late Night host made the previous night on his own show. Meyers examined the recent mass shootings and continued lack of gun control legislation, referring to Fox News, the NRA and GOP as "a small minority of sociopaths with outsized power in our politics who stand in the way whenever the rest of us try to do something about it."
Hannity opened the segment by asking, "Seth, why do you have so much hatred and disdain for Americans who just have different political beliefs than your Hollywood liberal beliefs?"
Rather than offering solutions to continued gun violence, Hannity has used shootings to further push the false rhetoric about sweeping gun bans. And rather than addressing Meyers's concerns and calls for sensible gun control legislation, Hannity attacked the comedian.
"You are just another limousine liberal socialist, hypocritical asshole, who does nothing but spew anti-G.O.P. hate and has virtually nothing positive or productive to add to any political dialogue," said Hannity. "You have zero credibility, zero integrity, zero interest of what the truth is - and especially about complicated issues. That is why very few people watch your show. And you are not funny. Ever."
Hannity airs weeknights at 9 p.m. on Fox News Channel.
