What Happened To Sugar On The Bold and the Beautiful?

The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sheila Carter appears to have cheated death once again by theoretically getting her doppelganger to take her place — a woman named Sugar.

Sheila Has More Lives Than a Cat

It was obvious from the start that Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) wasn’t truly dead after Steffy (Jaqueline MacInnes Wood) stabbed her on B&B. The villainess had a black robe and veil covering her face when she entered Steffy’s house, and at the time, the wound looked like it was in the upper left-hand quadrant of her chest, which was not a killing blow. However, some characters have mentioned that she was stabbed in the heart and she was officially pronounced dead. Either way, it was just a matter of time before we learned that Sheila wasn’t really dead.

After Deacon (Sean Kanan) saw the burial shroud moving away from her feet as her body was entering the incinerator and witnessed ten toes instead of Sheila’s nine, he hasn’t stopped talking about it to anyone who would listen. Sheila had previously severed a toe in order to fake her death before, pretending to have been killed by a bear. Theorizing that she wasn’t the one who was cremated, he delved into her emails and text messages and found Sheila was corresponding with a mysterious person named Sugar — aka Janet Webber.

Fortunately for Deacon, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) happened to be visiting Los Angeles, and after he pressed her for information, she revealed that one of the times Sheila was in prison, she befriended the warden named Sugar who helped her escape. After causing havoc, they went to South America where Sheila tricked Sugar into getting plastic surgery that made her look identical to the villainess in 2005. Sugar, of course, had ten toes, and Lauren theorized that it was her who was cremated and not Sheila.

Sugar was originally played by Robin Mattson, who had wowed fans as the psychotic Heather Webber on General Hospital. Lauren ultimately told Deacon the entire story of Sugar. The two baddies had previously captured Ridge (then Ronn Moss), as well as the baby of Massimo Marone (Joseph Mascolo), and wanted to Ransom both for $100 million. Massimo’s son Nick (Jack Wagner) got involved and helped his brother and the captured Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) escape, but not before Ridge was believed dead when the foundry they were in caught fire.

In 2006, Lauren met with Sheila in prison after she attacked Scott Grainger (Daniel Hall), and learned that the person behind bars was Sugar, not Sheila. Sugar had blamed Scotty for Sheila duping her into getting the plastic surgery which she thought was going to be a simple facelift. Knowing full well what both Sheila and Sugar were capable of, Lauren made the most reasonable speculation that Sugar died in Sheila’s place.

But what the evildoer has up her sleeve next is anyone’s guess, and we’re on the edge of our seats waiting to find out!
