Over the weekend, musician Harry Styles made his return to London Fashion Week. After not attending the event for a decade, the singer and actor was seen on the front row sitting beside industry stalwarts like Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles during the S. S. Daley show. For the event, Styles debuted a new hairstyle while wearing a navy jacket and trouser set and a pair of old black sneakers.
Styles had a mini mullet of sorts, which was big news for the appearance. He had the sides of his hair shorn relatively short, with the top and back a little longer. As is custom at designer shows, Styles wore S.S. Daley while on the front row. He wore a pair of wide legged navy trousers that fit high on the waist as well as an oversized jacket of the same color. The jacket was unbuttoned to reveal his tank top beneath it.
For shoes, the musician wore a pair of old classic Vans Authentic sneakers. They were black featuring a black sole and white shoestrings. Unlike some Vans, these did not feature contrast stitching.
The classic sneakers didn’t seem new and likely weren’t. He’s been wearing Vans for years. He’s worn them to perform in as he did in 2022 wearing a striped onesie and black sneakers. He’s also worn them with suits like with a 2023 interview on “The Late Late Show With James Corden.” He even (understandably) wears them to the gym.
That said, Styles has developed a reputation for himself as one of the most stylish men. As a result, while his Vans sneakers are considered old faithfuls, he’s just as at home in boots, loafers, as well as other sneakers from brands like Gucci, Adidas and more.
