Harry Styles takes over 'The Late Late Show' so James Corden could have a baby
On The Late Late Show With James Corden, Harry Styles took over for James Corden, much to the audience’s delight. After they finally quieted down at the sight of the popular singer, he said, “No, your eyes do not deceive you. I am not James Corden. I am, in fact, Harry Styles.”
Styles joined The Late Late Show after a very special last-minute request. “Just a half an hour ago, James and his wife, Jules, had a beautiful baby girl!” Styles said. Corden also announced the birth of his daughter on Twitter and thanked Styles for picking up the hosting slack.
Today we welcomed a beautiful baby daughter into the world. Both she and her mother are doing great. We can’t stop smiling. Thank you Harry for stepping in to host the show at 2 and a half hours notice! x x x

“In fact,” Styles said, “I was just at the hospital before I came to fill in. She looks a lot like James. Mainly because James looks like a giant baby.”
This wasn’t Harry’s first time taking over The Late Late Show, so he was the perfect person to fill in for his buddy. Last night, The Late Late Show aired a Christmas “Carpool Karaoke,” during which Styles and Corden shared a kiss that the internet was all abuzz about. Styles joked, “I would like to take this opportunity to announce that we will also be having a baby!”
The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
