‘Hateful Eight’ Cast Grilled by Tarantino and Kimmel About Script Leak
The full cast of Hateful Eight, minus Channing Tatum, stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live on Monday. Quentin Tarantino, the film’s director, explained to Jimmy that he canceled the film when he learned the script had been leaked. He had only given the script to a small number of people, so it was hard for the cast to evade blame. Michael Madsen recounted the phone call on which he learned the script was out: “He said, ‘I only gave the script to three people. Bruce, Michael, and Tim. And I know it wasn’t Tim.’” Though he denies leaking it, Michael’s son even blamed him. Bruce Dern tried to play coy to Jimmy’s questioning by replying, “I don’t hear good. What did you say?” Samuel L. Jackson couldn’t have given it out because he claimed he didn’t even get the script to begin with. That only left Tim Roth, who Quentin didn’t suspect, but he only jokingly accepted responsibility.
Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:35 pm on ABC.
Watch Maya Rudolph recite the entire jive scene from “Airplane” on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
