Headliner Neil Young drops out of Bourbon & Beyond due to illness. Here's what we know
Bourbon & Beyond, the world's largest bourbon and music festival, is searching for a replacement act as one of the headliners, Neil Young, had to drop out of the festival.
In an Instagram post Wednesday, Bourbon & Beyond posted a message from Young that said a few members of Young's Love Earth Tour got sick after a show in Detroit and the group has not fully recovered yet and is taking a "big unplanned break."
"We know you made travel plans and apologize for the inconvenience. Thanks for your understanding and patience," Young's message read. "Health is #1."
The loss of Young's musical set will be felt at the festival this year, as many were excited to see the musical legend.
"To have one of the most influential artists of all time, Neil Young, headline Bourbon & Beyond this year is so incredibly special. Not only do I love his music, but I think there is a real authenticity in his craft that has inspired generations of artists to find their true voice,” Danny Wimmer of Danny Wimmer Presents previously said in a news release.
Bourbon & Beyond will share a replacement announcement once the festival has found a solution to fill Young's headliner spot.
