Even if you’ve yet to watch the Season 3 premiere of Netflix’s good-for-the-soul Heartstopper, you can probably guess what goes down between Nick and Charlie in “Love.” If by chance you can’t guess, this is your last chance to tap out before all is revealed. Sticking with us? On we go!

Picking up shortly after Season 2’s finale (recapped here), in which Charlie came thisclose to dropping the L word on his boyfriend via text,  the episode saves the momentous moment for one in which Nick is in the shower. He is so caught off guard by Charlie’s declaration from the other side of the bathroom door that he doesn’t immediately respond — which gives Charlie just enough time to panic and bolt. As quickly as Nick can, he throws on clothes, if not shoes, and chases after Charlie so that they can properly exchange “I love yous.”

“At 15 or 16, to feel that strong a connection to another person is quite rare,” she continues. “Also, just saying ‘I love you’ feels huge when you’re a teenager, because it feels so serious and deep, and that’s scary and new. They’ve never felt that before!”
