Heidi Klum says she can't get a coronavirus test after 'feeling feverish' at 'AGT'
"America’s Got Talent" judge Heidi Klum can't get her hands on a coronavirus test.
The supermodel, 46, left a taping of "AGT" earlier this week after feeling ill and has been absent from the competition ever since. Klum explained her symptoms on her Instagram Stories, saying she's stayed home so she doesn't "infect any other people."
“Hi, everyone, I just wanted you to know why I have not been sitting in my 'America’s Got Talent' seat," Klum said Friday while laying in bed. "It started all with like a chill, feeling feverish, cough, runny nose. I’m just not feeling good, so that’s why I’ve stayed home, to not infect any other people."

Klum said her attempts to get tested for the coronavirus have been unsuccessful.
"I hope it’s just a cold. I would love to do the corona test, but there just isn’t one here," she added. "I tried with two different doctors and I just can’t get one."
Klum's struggles to get a clear diagnosis appear to highlight the national shortage of tests for COVID-19. As U.S. testing ramps up, some labs have run short on the kits and components needed to determine whether samples taken from ailing patients confirm the presence of the novel coronavirus.

Despite feeling under the weather, Klum appeared to be in good spirits and encouraged her followers to "stay safe." She added, "Stay home if you don’t feel good."
"Modern Family" star Eric Stonestreet filled in for Klum in her absence.
"What a super fun and unexpected day in Los Angles," he captioned a series of pictures on Instagram. "Thanks @agt for letting me step in for the great @heidiklum. As a fan of the show, it was a real treat to be there. And it’s always great to be reunited with my former co worker @sofiavergara," the new judge of Season 15.

Fellow "AGT" judge Howie Mandel also took some safety precautions.
Mandel, a notorious germaphobe, donned a full hazmat suit and gas mask to a recent taping of the competition reality series. He suffers from severe germophobia, a symptom from his obsessive-compulsive disorder. On "Deal or No Deal" and "AGT," Mandel doesn't shake hand with contestants. Instead, he likes to exchange fist bumps.
