Henry Golding and Wife Liv Lo Welcome Their Second Baby Together

The couple are already parents to daughter Lyla, 2, after tying the knot in 2016

Henry Golding is a dad again!

The Crazy Rich Asians star, 36, and his wife Liv Lo welcomed their second baby together, a daughter named Florence Likan Golding, on Sept. 9.

"The journey of childbirth is full of its ups and downs, but glorious none the other. This is our birth story," the couple wrote in the caption of their joint Instagram video posted on Wednesday.

Liv shared the details of the birth on her FitSphere website that she delivered her baby a day after her due date after she was checked into the hospital due to heavy bleeding.

Although she wanted a vaginal birth, Liv suddenly developed a fever and "the baby started to go into distress," prompting the medical staff to prep for an emergency C-section. However, she quickly dilated to 10 centimeters before she could ever go into the operating room.

"My doctor came in and said, luckily, that I had the option to push, but the baby would have to be born right away," wrote Liv. "In 3 pushes Florence Likan Golding was born at 7lbs at 9:03 am on 9/9/23."

Golding can be seen in the video helping clean the newborn right after she was born and cutting the umbilical cord.

According to Liv's website, "Baby Flo breastfed like a champ during the golden hour before we were whisked together to postpartum recovery," but the newborn later had difficulties breathing.

As a result, "Daddy Henry oversaw as she was PICC lined and intubated." The clip shows Golding sitting next to the incubator with his baby girl inside, where his 2-year-old daughter Lyla also reaches her hand to gently touch her little sister.

After she was readmitted to the hospital and treated for a blood infection, the Goldings were finally able to take baby Florence home, as seen in the video when the Persuasian actor loads the newborn inside the car.

In May, the actor and his wife announced that they were expecting their second baby together via Instagram. Sharing black-and-white photos of their family, the couple's daughter Lyla sat on the actor's lap as his wife sat next to them, leaning into Golding and holding her bump.

"Inbound ??????," Golding captioned the photos.

Sharing the same photos on her own Instagram, Lo wrote, "Oh hey! New baby otw, due Sept 1 ???." She also shared a video revealing that she'll be showing how she practices yoga throughout her pregnancy in a video series.

"I became a mompreneur when I became pregnant. I have a prenatal yoga certification and practiced yoga throughout my last pregnancy, but this time, I am sharing my journey to demonstrate how important yoga is for the mind and body because health begins with the mother," she explained in a caption over the video as it shows her doing yoga at different stages of pregnancy.

Last May, the actor spoke with PEOPLE and revealed his favorite thing about being a father. "Seeing her grow and change," he explained at the time about his daughter Lyla.

"Like today is actually Liv's birthday, and on Liv's birthday, little baby decided to really attempt to walk."

"She's changing so much, so every day is like a treat," Golding added.
