Henry Thomas Tells a Scary Story From the Set of 'Ouija: Origin of Evil'... Or Does He?
Ouija: Origin of Evil is now out in theaters and has been receiving good reviews. Sometimes when filming a horror movie, strange occurrences can stand out more than they might on another film genre’s set. Yahoo invited one of the film’s stars, Henry Thomas, to our Los Angeles studio and asked if he noticed anything spooky going down while working on the movie.
“The house was weird,” Thomas told us. “The house that we shot in was strange, and then the neighborhood, there were a lot of strange things happening in the neighborhood while we were shooting. There were cats that went missing. There were cats around this house almost every day, and then one day the cats are gone. Nobody had an answer for where they went.”
Of course, it’s possible the film’s crew simply removed their feline friends from the set, but Thomas is still uncertain what happened. “Maybe I’m just starting rumors, and I don’t really have any physical proof or concrete evidence about the missing cats,” Thomas noted. “Elizabeth Reaser and I remembered it at the press junket, and we just started mining it for gold because that’s the only weird thing we can remember happening on the set. You feel an impetus to lie, to maybe make something up.”
