Here's what Jason Isbell and 400 Unit are doing Oct. 4. Hint: It involves the Ryman
Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit are set to release "Live from The Ryman Vol. 2," on Oct. 4, ahead of his 2024 8-day residency at the famed Mother Church.
Leading up to the album release, Isbell has released two songs, "King of Oklahoma" and "This Ain't It" which also includes video footage filmed live during a previous sold-out Ryman show.
"Live From The Ryman Vol. 2" features 15 live versions of songs from the band’s last two studio albums, "Reunions" (2020) and "Weathervanes," (2023). The album also includes a live version of “The Last Song I Will Write,” from Isbell’s 2009 self-titled release and a cover of Tom Petty’s “Room at the Top.”
Isbell's first album recorded live at The Ryman (Vol. 1) was released in 2018.
The Grammy Award winner has done numerous residencies at The Ryman since his first show there in 2014. He has sold out more than 50 nights at the venue, not including the ones already sold out for his Oct. shows.
