In her fifth visit to the Milwaukee area since launching her presidential campaign, Vice President Kamala Harris will host a rally in Milwaukee on Friday with a slate of musical performers.
Former President Donald Trump will also visit the city in final days of the presidential race, hosting a rally at Fiserv Forum the same day as Harris. His campaign has not announced any additional guests for the rally, though Trump was joined by ex-Packers quarterback Brett Favre in Green Bay on Wednesday.
Harris's rally will feature a line-up of all Black musicians, DJs and rappers — ranging from a local Milwaukee DJ to a nationally acclaimed band that recently celebrated its 60th anniversary.
Here's to know about the Harris rally on Friday, from musical guests to venue and time.
Who's speaking and performing at the Harris rally on Friday?
At least one celebrity speaker and five musical guests are slated to headline the Milwaukee rally, according to the Wisconsin Democrats event page:
Cardi B
One of the most successful female rappers of all time, Cardi B is known for hits like "Bodak Yellow" and "I Like It." She is listed as a guest speaker for the rally — meaning she is unlikely to perform, but will almost certainly deliver a speech endorsing Harris.
DJ GEMINI GILLY
DJ Gemini Gilly is a "Milwaukee-born and bred DJ and curator," according to her website. She has opened for artists like SZA, Aminé and Ja Rule, as well serving as the official DJ for the Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team.
In an Instagram post announcing she would perform at the rally, the local DJ wrote, "Thank you God for this gift, I can’t wait to share it as we rally behind @kamalaharris!"
Flo Milli
Flo Milli is another leading female rapper and songwriter, with "Never Lose Me" and "Conceited" among her most popular hits. Earlier this year, she released her latest studio album, "Fine Ho, Stay," which became her most successful yet.
The Isley Brothers
The Isley Brothers are a musical group originally founded in the 1950s by four brothers from Ohio. The membership of the group has evolved over the decades to include various men in the Isley family, though the group has continued to churn out hits like "Shout!" and "For the Love of You, Pts. 1 & 2."
"There is only one band in the history of American music that had a proven influence on both The Beatles and the rapper Ice Cube, and had a hit in six straight decades, from the ‘50s to the ‘00s," their website reads.
MC Lyte
Considered a trailblazer of American rap, MC Lyte made history in 1988 by becoming the first female solo rapper to release a studio album, with her debut, "Lyte as a Rock." In August, she released her ninth studio album, "1 of 1," which came nine years after her last release.
GloRilla
Tennessee-born rapper GloRilla rose to fame with her 2022 hit "F.N.F. (Let's Go)," which earned her a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rap Performance last year. She released her debut studio album, "Glorious," earlier this month.
